These Terms of Service explain the baseline terms that apply when you use the BlueBotts website, request an audit, subscribe to a maintenance plan, or engage us for WordPress support. Any signed agreement, proposal, statement of work, or invoice may include additional terms for a specific engagement.
Services
BlueBotts provides WordPress maintenance, updates, backups, malware support, uptime monitoring, performance improvements, edit support, audits, emergency support, and related website care services. The exact scope depends on the plan or quote selected.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, timely access, required approvals, paid plugin or hosting licences, third-party account access, and lawful content. You must not request work that infringes rights, violates law, or compromises the security of another system.
Plan Scope and Fair Usage
Maintenance plans cover ongoing care for an existing website. They are not unlimited development retainers. Included edits, quoted work, and out-of-scope items are described on the Work Policy page. We will not begin chargeable work without explicit approval.
Payments and Cancellations
Fees, billing cycles, renewal terms, cancellation windows, and refund eligibility are shown on the relevant plan, proposal, or invoice. Monthly plans may be cancelled with the notice period stated at purchase. Fixed-term plans may have separate terms.
Emergency and SLA Commitments
Response times, monitoring intervals, restore targets, malware handling, and Enterprise support commitments are summarised on the FAQ and SLA page or in your plan documentation. Resolution timing can depend on hosting access, third-party provider availability, malware severity, DNS propagation, and client approvals.
Third-Party Services
Websites often depend on hosting providers, registrars, payment gateways, plugins, themes, APIs, email platforms, and analytics tools. BlueBotts is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, account suspensions, licence failures, or defects outside our control, but we will help diagnose and coordinate fixes where included in scope.
Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your website content, brand assets, and materials you provide. BlueBotts retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, processes, templates, documentation, and know-how. Deliverables created specifically for you are licensed or assigned according to the applicable agreement or invoice.
Security and Backups
We take security seriously and use reasonable controls for maintenance work. No website can be guaranteed immune from compromise, data loss, hosting failure, or third-party vulnerability. Backup and restore obligations depend on the plan, access, and backup systems available.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse our website or services, attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious files, interfere with monitoring systems, abuse support channels, or use BlueBotts services for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or infringing activity.
Disclaimers
Services are provided with reasonable care and skill, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted website operation, perfect security, specific rankings, specific revenue outcomes, or compatibility with every third-party tool unless expressly agreed in writing.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BlueBotts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or loss-of-profit damages. Any direct liability will be limited to the amount paid for the affected service during the applicable period, unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website or services after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
